Its so easy to fall in love - or so sang Buddy Holly (we're fast approaching the day the music died too - so light a candle, say a prayer) - but ain't so easy when two becomes four (two of which are under two.) Fuck me...I'm bad at math but that sounded like some kind of formula. I digress. Two moons ago - Boy #1 and Boy #2 had rough NIGHTS. Sniffles as they said on The Brady Bunch. Cold. Nothing major - knock on wood - but - Boy #2 was up until Turn Into Pumpkin Time - and then when he finally went down down - Boy #1 started moanin' the blues from his bed. I tried to ride him out - but alas, could not. Doped him up on some Bubble Gum Kiddie Tyenol - and we hit Sofa City (I was already there actually) where he laid on me and went back to sleep. So there we layed until about 3am at which time I put him back in bed. I then watched LOR: The Two Towers on Sofa City for about an hour - and then woke up around 6:00am and LOR: The Two Towers was just GOING off...Damn that's a long movie. 2 to 3 hours sleep on a Sunday night before a Monday Monday. Its so easy to fall in love - but sustaining it with the above going on action is tough. Thankfully Team Tinsley has a strong base - me and my Lovely (Bride) are rock solid which helps solider you through the rough times and really dig the good ones (which, by the way, far outnumber the bad - cup half full - NOT empty.)

So ends today's reflection. On the shallow surface, today January 26 was colder than a brewhaus' chichi - low 20s this AM when I walked Dog Dog. Froze me arse off actually - but Dog Dog needs her walk and my new strategy is to walk her in the AM so the rest of Team Tinsley don't have to worry about doing it later in the day. The challenge, other than dragging my ass out of bed, is Dog Dog (who is old) not forgetting that she has been walked! (insert laugh track.)

Until next time.
Peace.

Last night was my first night of Daddy patrol with both Boys by myself. My lovely (bride) had Drunco. It actually went pretty dang dog smooth. It was like I knew what I was doing!

Boy #1 did the normal repeated watching of Hercules while Boy #2 slept and or rode my leg (Daddy trick to get him from being fussy - place him face down on leg, and gently tap your heel to create bouncing motion.)

The surreal part of the night came when Boy #1 was about to go down for the evening - and Boy #2 wanted to eat at the same time. Here I am standing (so Boy #1 won't grab the bottle and try to suck on it) while trying to feed Boy #2 while Boy #1 is tugging on my pajama legs. Being a gringo flaco (skinny!) Boy #1 had my PJs down around my knees before it was over. So, here I am standing in the middle of my front room - pants around my knees - not that big of deal until you consider that I was going commando - Here I am, bare ass with my privates out and about - Boy #1 is trying to go thru my legs now - tripping over my PJ bottoms - hands are still full w/ Boy #2 (and trying to feed him the bottle) so the PJ bottoms had to stay down - while Boy #1 head is rubbing against my scrotum. Good thing Child Services didn't do a pop in! My life is nuts (no pun intended.)

Ok. Now that it appears the my blog is set up and working properly - I can start writing down the mundane details of our life(s).

Speedo by The Cadillacs. Do you know that song? I love it. Its been in a bunch of movies. First one that comes to mind is 'Goodfellas' - toward the first. The soundtrack of that movie is a timeline of sorts, so its young Henry - late 50s - doo-wop. But I digress.

Sunday Sunday. January 10th. Boy #2 - actually let me set this up - I have two Boys. My number system is a chronological distinction. Nothing more. Boy #1. Ethan Gentry Tinsley. Born January 17, 2002. Boy #2. Wyatt Carter Tinsley. Born December 28, 2003. How's that for family planning?

So - Boy #2 hit the two week mark today. We had his first outing today (weather in Dallas was glorious) took him and Boy #1 to a park that is near the casa. Boy #1 rode in his Red Wagon. Boy #2 in the stroller. As will happen - Boy #2 slept through the entire trip - but - he was breathing good fresh air, and out in the sunshine. In fact, his Mom had some shades on him. A hepcat at 2 weeks.

Over and out for now.
Stu
Sunday morning coming down. This is a test. Testing. 1. 2. 3. 10.
